Submit a Create Workshop for the Manaiakalani ToD May 30, 2025
To enable us to prepare for registrations we will need submissions for Create workshops by Saturday 10th May.
Workshops will be an opportunity for teachers to experience creating something. Elena Terekhina, from our Research Team has shared a helpful overview of Create Activities in Maths in support of workshop submissions, including a collection of practical prompts to spark your thinking.
Each idea is grounded in the Understand-Know-Do framework of Te Mātaiaho, showing how creativity can deepen conceptual understanding, build fluency, and help learners make sense of maths in authentic, engaging ways. Feel free to use these ideas, adapt them to suit your purpose, or bring in your own creative twists - there are no limits! We’re excited to see the workshops you design and the inspiring ways you’ll bring maths to life through Create!
